This page is for those who
want to know more about the exciting adventures of an expatriated family
coming back to its home country. It might be a little boring at some
places, but some of the pictures are nice, especially those we took in Wyoming |
 |
June 28. 2002. Packing
everything. Just one picture to be shown. The rest was too
depressing.

The car
in the container after two hours of labor. The car eventually
arrived in Paris 14 days later with bumps and scratches everywhere,
and the anti-theft alarm went wild when I connected the battery. I
don't want to know what happened on the sea... |

|
 |
The
kids elected to invade the Kenagys next door and stayed there until
we really had to leave |
| |
|

|

|

|
| I
like that one. The tribe is complete. The picture was taken
just before the trampoline was disassembled at loaded in the
truck |
The
tribe is joined by Akira Satai, a Japanese friend of François
(the guy on the right) |
Suzanne
trying her best to convince us to stay. |
Suzanne
and Emma Kenagy finally decide to keep Rose only |
|
 |
Madeleine
and Rose also went to Jerilyn's house, which was loaded with gifts
for us, as usual. |
| |
|

|

|
|
|
| Madeleine
saying goodbye to her beloved Jerilyn and telling her that she
will come back soon |
Rose
asking to stay with Scarlett the "doggy" (her first
word ever uttered). Scarlett is of course not to be seen on
this picture. |
. |
|
|
 |
And
finally when our house was completely empty, Marilyn the landlord
came to take her keys back. Resistance was futile, and we decided to
go West to seek fortune. And we left for Wyoming |
 |
We
did not strike gold on the Shoshone territory, so we went back to
camp in our new (empty) condo in gay Paris, der Soldaten Paradis and
stayed there for a few days. |

| Air
France flight 322 to Paris. Everybody is asleep except François,
thanks to his addiction to stupid video games |
The
city of lights (well, it used to be...) early in the morning
after July 14. The Assemblée Nationale |
And
ze traditional photograph |
Would
you please stop taking pictures, Maman? |
|
 |
From then, everything went
south (on the Cote d'Azur, but I have no digital evidence of this to
show), and then back North-West to La Bérardiere, Saint-Bômer-les-Forges,
Orne, Carte Michelin 59, pli 3. |

|
| The
R. Dugage family seat |
...between
two rain showers |
Rediscovering
cousins |
Madeleine
horsing around |
|
 |
So
finally, here we are, back to "normal" life, and missing
America. |
| |
|

|

|
|
|
| Martin
going back to work and shunning the Paris transportation
system under the skeptical look of a representative of the new
Parisian population (background). |
And
Nathalie makes conferences about America. Here in Normandy on
August 17., she looks convincing enough |
Here,
in Milly, near Fontainebleau, on September 7. less so. She had
rather booze with Sarah, from Great Briatain. |
